This page is really just an example of how you might choose to arrange information on some common topics for
your customers to read.
Of course, in the real world you may have more (or less) information - you may want separate pages or any
other configuration you can think of. It isn't a problem - this is just one way you can approach it!
Information & Help
If your customers have common queries or often ask for certain pieces of information - it's logical (and
good manners) to make sure they can find the answer on your website. Also make sure they know what to do if
they need help or can't find what they're looking for.
Customer Service
Outlining your customer service policies, opening hours and linking to your contact information from a
page which contains other, general customer information is generally wise - it also offers another route
to the information they may need.
Ordering & Payment
It's also good practice to state the payment methods you accept and to outline what customers can expect from
the ordering process. Do you ship everything the same working day? If so then say so - it's a clear benefit
for your business!
Shipping & Returns
Listing your returns policy is essential. Although you can't override any of the terms in the Distance Selling
Regulations, you can refine some of the grey areas and make sure you customers know how you handle matters
should anything go awry with their purchase.
Secure Shopping
And of course, re-iterating that the site is secure (a basic SSL certificate is included by standard with
your website and enhanced certificates offering "green bar" verification are available upon request)
is always a good idea.
This demonstration site doesn't have an SSL certificate, but all our client sites do. If you see "secure" in
the address shown in your browser address bar, that page would normally be served via https and encrypted.
